Dental Handpiece for Intra-Oral Ozone Gas ApplicationsThe handpiece, head and the connecting extremity are made of ozone-resistant grade 316 stainless steel (SS). The head was designed taking into consideration long term reliability and safety of ozone use. Therefore, we manufactured the head out of solid SS block, a process that required advanced computer-controlled machining and drilling. There are no separate connecting parts within the head of the handpiece.

The tapered outer housing of the central delivering tip can be fitted with a disposable silicone cap.

The SS connecting extremity of the hose has 2 nozzles; the large one for the incoming ozone gas and the small one for the suctioned outgoing excess gas.

The central tip of the head delivers the ozone gas while the lateral orifice via suction, removes the gas from the treatment area back to the destructor. In this way, ozone gas can be safely used.

The central tip can also accommodate different Luer Lock needles/applicators when needed. This is useful in root canal therapy and periodontal pockets ozone gas application.

The handpiece and connecting hose can be autoclaved.
